My Personal Page"Man is a pupil, pain is his teacher."- Alfred de Musset, French dramatist, poet, and novelist. "The man who can drive himself further once the effort gets painful is the man who will win." - Roger Bannister, first man to run 1 mile in less than 4 minutes. Mathematics My interests in mathematics lie in the fields of combinatorics, number theory, and graph theory. Apart from the technical aspects of mathematics, I am also curious about origin, historical developments and philosophical implications of various mathematical concepts and techniques. Martial Arts and Flipping I practiced Karate under Sensei Neeraj Dhawan at JKA in Noida, India and Taekwondo under Master Anthony at Master's Academy in Tampa, FL. I started flipping at the age of 27 years and 9 months. After all, you are never too old to start doing anything that you really want to do. I am very thankful to my coaches then, Coach Erin and Coach Dan. I am also very thankful to Jason, who was my flipping partner for over a year! We used to be referred to as the old people because the other students in our classes ranged from being 5 yrs to 16 years old! Then I made friends with the supremo of flipping, Neil. Check out his trick, The Neil, on David Letterman's show here. Fine Arts and Cartooning I do pencil sketching sometime when I am highly motivated. Here is is a life size full body portrait of Bridget Moynahan. I also like cartooning (a few samples). My favorite comic strip is "Calvin and Hobbes". Bill Watterson is a true genius. My other favorites are "Dilbert" and "PhD Comics" because of their sardonic nature. Creative Works Other Activities Photos Link to some of my pictures on various photohosting sites Other Links |
