My current interests revolve around the AVATAR project where I am the lead programmer representing USF in designing applications for the
ASCI Red and ASCI Blue at the United States nuclear weapons laboratories of Sandia National Laboratories and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. I will also soon be working on the
ASCI White. The Advanced Strategic Computing Initiative (ASCI) is responsible for creating the nation's premier
supercomputers targeted at simulating nuclear explosions. In particular, my focus is on distributed terascale machine learning. On September 19, 2003 I was awarded the 2003 Verizon Fellowship. |
