I am a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida, USA. My advisors are Prof. Ranga Kasturi and Prof. Sudeep Sarkar.
My current research is focused on the audio-visual analysis of meeting rooms - a subset of the broader domain of multimedia analysis. The novelty of my research lies in exploring speech-body movement correlations in humans.
I received my Masters' in Computer Science in Fall 2003 from the Pennsylvania State University. My thesis topic was "Detection of obstacles in the flight path of an aircraft using infrared imagery", with Prof. Ranga Kasturi and Prof. Octavia Camps as my advisors. I have a Bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunications from the K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai University, India.
