Francisco Blanquicet is a Ph.D. student in the department of Computer
Science and Engineering at the University of South Florida.
He received both bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering
from the University of South Florida in 2006.
- While at USF, Francisco has been an active member of
IEEE-CS (Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers - Computer Society),
ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), and
CommNet (Communication Networks & Collaborative Research Group at USF).
- As an undergraduate student, Francisco was part of a team of four who
entered into the
Microsoft Windows Embedded Student Challenge 2006 with the
"Intelligent Scarecrow Project". This project placed second out of more than 360
entries from all over the world, and was the top US entry. Francisco was also the recipient of the
Mozelle Beverly Engineering Scholarship in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
