Assignment #6 for Computer Simulation (Spring 1999)

Situation:

Your boss is still upset with your simulation results for TurnTaker versus ShortQ and has decreed that from now on no "free software" shall be used for simulation modeling (this really does occur in the "real world"!).

Requirement:

You are to repeat assignment #4 using CSIM18. Compare your CSIM18 model results with the SMPL model results. Explain why they are the same or different, whichever the case may be. Finally, write a short paragraph explaining which package, SMPL or CSIM18, is easier to use for building models. Try to go beyond the fact that you already have experience with SMPL and are still new to CSIM.

Guidelines and hints:

You can use lec19.c and lec19a.c as starting points for this assignment. You can indeed use much of the code in as3_00_4sol.c for this assignment.

Extra Credit (10 points):

Add automatic stopping to your assignment (i.e., stopping based on convergence to a desired accuracy for a confidence interval). The program lec19a.c can be used as a guide.
