Online Resources for Computer Networks
Here are links that will be useful for the students in Computer
Networks.
- All source code you write must comply to my "archaic" style guidelines...
Christensen C Programming Style Guidelines.
- And... a C compiler you will need if you don't already have one. I suggest
the free Borland command line compiler available
here (you want the "compiler"). Read the installation instuctions
here.
- You will need to read RFCs for this class. You can find RFCs on the
IETF homepage.
- The
Christensen tools page contains many useful tools and programs including
server.c and
client.c and
weblite.c
(Windows version with threads).
- The old WinSock 1.1 standard is managable in size and has everything
we need. Find it here...
Windows Sockets 1.1. Winsock 2.0 is the current level.
