IEEE Computer Society is proud to present Dr. Kaushal Chari, Professor and the Chair of Information Systems & Decision Sciences Department, who will be delivering a talk on Information Systems & Decision Sciences When: March 16th from 12:30pm – 1:30pm Location: ENB 313
Abstract: This talk will first explore the fields of Management Information System as well as Decision Sciences, and then present “real world” applications showing the interactions between technology and business. This will be followed by discussions on the career opportunities in these fields.
Biography: Kaushal Chari is a Professor and the Chair of Information Systems & Decision Sciences Department. Previously he served as the Director of Research for the College of Business Administration at the University of South Florida. He obtained a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, followed by an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. His research interests include software engineering, business intelligence, decision support systems, information security & risk management, and distributed systems. He currently serves as the Associate Editor of MIS for Interfaces journal, and Vice Chair of the INFORMS Information Systems Society. Kaushal Chari currently teaches a course on distributed systems. He is a member of AIS and INFORMS.
